A pair of Chinese export underglaze blue salts, Qianlong


A pair of Eighteenth Century Chinese export underglaze blue salts. Each of the salts is decorated in the centre with a garden scene with willow and flowering plants beside buildings. The rims are decorated with panels of flower heads. The sides of each salt are decorated with stylised scrollwork and flower heads. Width of each salt is 7.9 cm (3.1″), height is 3.3 cm (1.3″).

Age or period: Qianlong c1760-1780
Product Condition: One salt has firing cracks inside the body, one of which is faintly visible in a small area on the front (please see final photograph). Otherwise both are in very good condition with no chips or restoration.
