Description

A nicely-sized and very old ginger jar with a mirror black glaze that you can see yourself in.
The porcelain ginger jar has been glazed in a thick, shiny, mirror black reflective glaze. It has a raised unglazed foot and a white glazed base. The glaze has flowed onto the foot and was chipped off in places. The paste is refined, condensed and white. The mouth is also not glazed. The interior has a white glaze.
MEASUREMENTS
7” (17.8 cm) diameter x 7” (17.8 cm) tall. Weighs 2 lbs 13.4 oz (1285 g)
CONDITION

An antique jar that still has a nice look even with the cracks.
